CutDeck vs AutoPod

AutoPod and CutDeck both live inside Premiere Pro. Both can do multi-cam switching and silence cutting, which is what most people google them for. After that they're pretty different. Here's what to actually expect from each.

CutDeck bundles things AutoPod doesn't have at all: animated subtitles, emotion-matched background music, emotion-matched sound effects, and viral-clip detection. All in Pro, and every Pro feature has 3 free previews before you pay.

When each one wins

Pick AutoPod if…

You run a multi-mic, multi-camera podcast and want the plugin with the longest track record at that specific job.
You need batch export. CutDeck doesn't have that yet.
You want a 30-day trial of the full multi-cam workflow before paying.
$29/mo isn't a problem for your editing budget.

Pick CutDeck if…

You want subtitles, music, and SFX in the same plugin instead of buying three separate subscriptions.
You edit solo videos. CutDeck works with a single mic. AutoPod requires multi-track audio.

The pricing math

A year of AutoPod is $348. A year of CutDeck Pro is $95.88 on monthly billing, or $49 once with the lifetime license, forever. That's $252 to $299 saved in the first year alone.

If you'd otherwise be paying for a subtitle plugin (around $10 to $20 a month), a music subscription (around $15 to $30 a month), and an SFX library, the gap gets bigger. CutDeck includes all of those.

There is a trade-off though. AutoPod has been doing multi-cam editing for years and the polish shows. CutDeck covers more ground at a lower price, but it's built by a solo developer and some things AutoPod has (batch export, native auto-reframe) aren't built yet.
